| What is it measuring? | The female test measures the level of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) in urine on the third day of your period. FSH is an indicator of Ovarian Reserve, which is a measure of the age of your ovaries and their ability to respond to FSH in order to produce eggs capable of fertilization. | The male test measures semen for its concentration of progressively motile sperm, which are the sperm that can readily swim to fertilize an egg. Natural fertilization is unlikely if the motile sperm concentration (count per milliliter) is too low. That is why simply measuring a sperm count is of limited value and why measuring sperm motility is crucial. |
| What the results mean: | The test will indicate if the level of FSH is within the normal range. If it is above the normal range, the ability to conceive may be decreased and may benefit from medical assistance. Doctors agree that early detection of fertility issues can significantly increase your chances of becoming pregnant2, so Fertell is a great first step towards conception. | The test will indicate if there are at least 10 million motile sperm per milliliter of semen, a World Health Organization guideline1. If the motile sperm concentration is below this, the ability to naturally fertilize an egg is decreased. Doctors agree that early detection of fertility issues can significantly increase your chances of becoming pregnant.2 |
| How long does it take? | The female test is complete in about 30 minutes. | The male test is complete in about 80 minutes. |
| When should the test be taken? | On Day 3 of the woman’s period, using first morning urine. (Product contains further instructions). | The test can be taken any time between 2 and 7 days since the male’s last ejaculation. (Product contains further instructions). |
| How accurate is it? | Both tests are clinically proven 95% accurate and like your doctor, Fertell begins the screening process by testing for key fertility elements. Fertell has been cleared by the FDA. | |
| Does Fertell detect all fertility issues? | Fertell does not detect all fertility issues. It is an initial screening and tests for key fertility elements. | |
